Triathlon Manitoba's new Executive Director -- Kevin Freedman

Triathlon Manitoba's Board of Directors has selected Kevin Freedman to succeed Darren Hemeryck as Executive Director.
Kevin has a wide array of skills, knowledge, and experience related to sport and to management of non-profit organizations.
He has a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology, Political Studies) from the UofWinnipeg and a Master of Science (Non-profit Management and Leadership) from the Walden School of Public Administration, Walden University.
He has participated in high-level sport as a competitive swimmer and water polo player, and he is also a runner and commuter cyclist. He served a term as President of the Manitoba Water Polo Association, and he has also been a successful water polo coach and referee.

His other work and volunteer experiences include numerous positions within a number of community service organizations.
Kevin commences his full-time employment with Triathlon Manitoba on Monday May 14.
We are very happy to welcome Kevin as Triathlon Manitoba's new Executive Director. He joins our dedicated team of volunteers. |
Officiating clinics
Every year, triathletes rely on a very valuable commodity to help make their race one of the best. That commodity is officials, and it is so important that we have a strong group of volunteers willing to be at our races to ensure the safety and fairness of the competition. Triathlon Manitoba officials receive full training, accommodations (where appropriate), mileage, and many other perks and benefits as only a small way to say thank-you. Are you interested in joining this amazing team of volunteers?
Officiating

Gord's Birds Hill Duathlon in the Park is Manitoba's premier duathlon series. It consists of five races held every Tuesday evening in May at Birds Hill Park East Beach. There are four distances to choose from.
For complete information and a link to online registration, please click here. To pre-register for just a certain Tuesday, pre-register by Sunday at midnight.
A limited number of park passes will be available at the registration table on a first come first served basis. Passes are $30 cash or cheque (made payable to Gord's Tri Club). Passes are also available at the 59er Gas Station just before the Birds Hill Park entrance. Please make sure you give yourself enough time to purchase a pass and make the check-in time. |

- Walk-up registration closes at 6:00 PM sharp no exceptions!
- Pre-registration check-in closes at 6:15 PM sharp! If you have pre-registered and are not in line by 6:15 PM you will be turned away.
